Boulder Garden is located in idyllic and unspoiled surrounding on the South Western lowland of Sri Lanka , a 160 Km from Colombo International Air Port and only 2 Km from Kalawana and 15 Km from to the Sinharaja virgin Rain Forest.

Set against large boulders and surrounding forests, the boulder garden is a paradise for both nature lovers and comfort seekers. The luxury boutique style hotel, which resembles a medieval castle with the same ambience, has all modern luxuries and comforts to offer. The ten-suite resort, offers guests the ultimate in accommodation plus a Sri Lankan traditional style environment.With its extraordinary boulders and the surrounding rain forest, the hotel offers a remarkable eco-experience to the traveler. Rooms and facilities

The hotel consists of 10 suites arranged in 4 rising tiers, linked by winding stone steps and deep corridors. The opulently appointed rooms are furnished in traditional style plus all modern comforts. The rooms are equipped with humidity fires, so that you enjoy the rain forest in its natural surrounding without air-conditioning.

The en-suite bathrooms are indeed a treat!

The 10 suites, consisting of 2 natural caves and a 1 split level Family room and other 7 suites with twin bedded and double bedded suites have private Balconies and terraces from which the magnificent evergreen patch can be viewed.

Dining and common areas

Dining in the open-air restaurant built connecting a large natural boulder, is an experience in itself. The magnificent views of the surrounding forest and the pool and the hum of birds will leave you with a treat to remember. The food at Boulder Garden has received great reviews and serves wonderful international cuisines as well as traditional style meals.

The spring water swimming pool nestled beneath the trees is simply marvelous. You can relax with a book or sip a sundowner with views of the pool and the jungle in the little reading area.

You can find many spots in the hotel to simply enjoy the surrounding and engage in some bird watching.

Things to see and do

The main attraction of Boulder Garden is of course the close by Sinharaja virgin rain forest.Boulder Garden is located in a perfect spot for bird and butterfly watching with trails in the surroundings.Engage in a kayaking trip in Wewa ganga or Kukule ganga Take the challenge of experiencing the jungles through mountain biking. The hotel has chosen bicycling routes that are rich in wild life, scenically diverse, tranquil and exciting.

You can organize a cave tour to the surrounding caves or engage in some abseiling.You can opt to enjoy the beauty of the jungle in the tranquility of your room or in a special nook in the hotel premises.Take a dip in the spring-water pool or enjoy a sundowner with some bird watching
