Getting there

Perched on the crest of the cool mountains of Kandy, the Villa Rosa commands a spectacular view of the great Mahaweli River winding its way through the valley below. From airport to Kandy is a 125 km and it is a further 3 km interior from Kandy town. In Kandy, arrive in Asigiriya junction and take the Dodanwela Passage leading to Villa Rosa.

Villa Rosa is the perfect place for you to rest and enjoy the cool charms of the Kandyan hills. Only a few minutes drive to the city, this beautiful villa perched atop a mountain commands sweeping views of the Mahaweli River gently winding its way along the valley far below The team at Villa Rosa strives to maintain an atmosphere of relaxation and inspire you to discover the area. You decide what to do, where to go and, even when and where you can have your meals!

 

Rooms and facilities

Villa Rosa has 6 well designed rooms. Out of these 4 are large deluxe double rooms with private balconies and terrace opening out to fine views of the mountains. 1 Single room and a family room which can accommodate 4 persons, are the other two rooms.

Your bedroom includes a fan (it's quite cool in the mountains) a mosquito net, TV and IDD is available. The spacious bathrooms come with bathtub (in three deluxe rooms) shower with hot and cold water.

The Villa has spacious common areas for your relaxation; a library, breakfast room, dining room, garden and a viewing platform. You can use the swimming pool of a hotel close by and transport is complementary.

The flexible meal times and friendly advice on where you can visit and see, complements and enhances your stay at the villa.

Most routes offered by Villa Rosa are not found in any guidebook; walk through villages to reach extraordinary viewing points, watch traditional craftsmen at work or listen to the chanting of pirith of the neighbouring temple in the evenings... your choices are many!
